AThe deep site has been meticulously stripped of its industrialized ruins, and thoughtfully planted to create a serene oasis of green in the vibrant heart of Melbourne’s Richmond. A well-appointed Garage, featuring two car garaging and a spacious loft unit above, holds the prominent face of the site facing the street. In the middle of the site stands the House, an elegant three-level residence that includes a basement wine and whisky cellar, and a carefully designed planted wetland roof atop. To the rear of the property, an artist studio is sunken into the site, offering an inspiring workspace. Surrounding the house, the exterior is wrapped in expanded mesh on a sturdy frame, allowing the site's climbing ivy to gracefully claim the silvered cube, transforming it into what is now known as the Green Cage.
